Option 1: Stroll @ Nostalgic Colonial architectural Shanghai
This tour features a fusion of nostalgic colonial neighborhoods with dynamic cosmopolitan energy. It is a 4 hour tour led by a personal intepretor who knows the city from inside out.
2pm Hotel pick-up
230 pm Roaming on the Bund and overview of the Pearl Tower on the river side
Shanghai's best colonial sites are on the Bund, Shanghai's world-famous embankment on the Huangpu River. Across the river, Pudong holds the ultra-modern core with its iconic skyscrapers like the Oriental Pearl and IFC tower. The two sides of the river stricks a harmony between the city's past and future.
330pm High Tea at Peace Hotel, the oldest hotel in China
This PEACE Hotel was firstly built in 1877, rebuilt by Victor Sassoon into an Art Deco masterpiece in 1926. Sasson was Shanghai’s first foreign exploere and probaly the richhest person in the world at his time. The lavish interior of the Peace Hotel epitomizes Shanghai's turn-of-the-century extravagance. Required and renovated in 2010 by Fairmont Group, it is now a perfect place for you to have a glimpse of the OLD shanghai, to sense the character of the Old Shanghai adventurers.
5pm Tian Zi Fang, the local
Tian Zi Fang is an old district of traditional lane houses kept intact. The old european atmosphere is naturanl embeded with most of those houses converted into art studios, quirky souvenir stores, clothes boutiques, cafes and restaurants.
6 pm arrive at the most authentic Shanghai Resturant ( Tour ends)
Through years of culinary practice and the assimilation of the art in other styles of cuisines, Shanghai chefs have also created a style peculiar to this region. A top restaurant will be selected and pre-booked for the tour group for the evening.
